Top Tips for Completing Horizon Qualifiers in Forza Horizon 6 (16 อ่าน)

Forza Horizon 6 is bringing a fresh approach to the Horizon Festival experience, releasing on May 19, 2026 (or May 15 for Premium Edition owners). This time, you don’t start as a festival legend—you begin as a “tourist,” earning your place through the Horizon Qualifiers before gaining access to the full map. These qualifiers are a critical early challenge and will set the tone for your entire progression. To help you dominate them, here are some essential tips to get through the qualifiers with ease.

1. Master Narrow Urban Navigation

Japan’s dense urban streets, like those in Tokyo City, are much more challenging than the wide-open roads you may be used to from previous titles. You’ll be racing through tight alleys and bustling districts, so it’s important to stay sharp and focused.

Focus on Clean Runs: Collisions are a huge setback in FH6. Avoid hitting curbs, walls, or parked cars, especially in tight spots. Even small mistakes can kill your momentum, so smooth, controlled driving is key.

Use the Car Proximity Radar: A new feature in FH6, the proximity radar helps you spot vehicles in your blind spots. Keeping it on will help you avoid accidents in tight traffic, which is essential for maintaining a high REP and finishing strong.

2. Optimize for Class D and C

The qualifiers are designed around beginner-level cars, so don’t expect to use high-end supercars right out of the gate. You’ll be working with Class D and C vehicles, and it’s important to optimize them for the terrain.

Don’t Over-Tune: It’s tempting to push your car into a higher class by upgrading it, but doing so too early can hurt you. Japan’s technical roads, particularly the downhill sections, require precision handling that you won’t get from a super-powered machine.

Keep Balanced Builds: Instead of maxing out your car’s power, focus on tuning it for handling. A well-balanced C-class hatchback can be more effective on tight corners than a high-horsepower build that struggles with throttle control.

3. Exploit the "Horizon Rush" Mechanics

One of the standout features of the qualifiers is the "Horizon Rush" events—time trials with obstacle courses set in places like the Tokyo City Docks. These events require quick thinking and a keen sense of timing.

Learn the Patterns: Horizon Rush events feature moving barriers and shifting roadblocks. Use practice laps to understand where the obstacles appear and figure out which shortcuts will save you time. It’s not just about speed—it’s about precision.

Sector Optimization: Keep track of your performance using the in-game sector tracking. If you’re losing time on a particular stretch, consider taking a calculated risk, like jumping over an obstacle rather than driving around it. Sometimes, a little airtime is faster than a longer path.

4. Leverage the Collection Journal

As you race, you’ll also be progressing through the “Discover Japan” path by collecting stamps. These stamps can unlock additional content, which can make your journey smoother.

Earn Passive REP: Keep an eye out for landmarks and "Treasure Cars" (abandoned cars spotted by your guide, Mei). Collecting them and taking photos helps unlock player houses and garages faster, which makes fast travel easier.

Build Your Hub: Once you unlock the Estate system, place one house near the city and another in the mountains. This will give you convenient locations to fast travel to and from, making it easier to experiment with different builds and test your qualifier tunes in different environments.

5. Adjust Difficulty Smartly

Early in the game, the focus is more on completing skill challenges than finishing in first place. Make sure to adjust the difficulty to suit your skill level.

Assist Toggling: If you're still getting the hang of the game, leave the assists on. FH6 introduces new "refraction-based" lighting and complex technical tracks, so it might take a little time to adjust. Full assists can help you ease into the game without frustrating failures.

Increase CR/XP: As you get more comfortable with the gameplay, you can start turning off some assists to increase your Credit and XP multiplier. Turning off Stability Control gives you a significant boost without being too punishing, especially on tricky downhill sections where ABS can be a lifesaver.

The Horizon Qualifiers in Forza Horizon 6 are your first real challenge on the road to becoming a Horizon Legend. By mastering Japan’s tight streets, optimizing your cars for early progression, and learning the ins and outs of Horizon Rush events, you’ll be well on your way to earning your first wristband. Focus on clean driving, make smart upgrades, and don’t be afraid to adjust the difficulty as needed—these qualifiers will set you up for success in the full Horizon Festival.
